Outdoor sports
Due to the increasing standardization in sport, outdoor sports have become increasingly important as a countermovement. Natural sports are still a relatively new term in the German language. The first scientific uses can be identified in exam and diploma theses in the mid/late 1980s, for example on the didactic importance of skiing or on the area of conflict between nature conservation and sport using the example of canoeing. The term has been used regularly since the late 1990s. Adventure or outdoor sports were and are still used today as related terms. This also involves a return to sports from ancient times.
Outdoor sports also include some fun sports and trend sports, e.g. B. Windsurfing and surfing, as well as extreme sports (e.g. free climbing).
